Reducing CO2 Emissions as a Precaution against Possible ‘Climate Change’ is All Pain, No Gain

Please read link below.  Why is the world abuzz about imposing a solution to a problem that is not supported by recent and historical facts?  Is it a disguise to take from the rich and give to the poor.  Or will it make the poor  poorer because of higher energy bills?  Is your church involved in this fantasy.  I hope not, but many our including my on Methodist Church.  Please read my petitions in April 2015 blog, under news to remove seven paragraphs from the Methodist Discipline and Book of Resolutions that deal with this subject.  This is a political issue and not a religious one in my opinion.

The following article written by Dr. Legates supports this position.

David R. Legates, Ph.D., is Professor of Climatology at the University of Delaware, Newark, DE, and a Senior Fellow of The Cornwall Alliance for the Stewardship of Creation.

Prominent Scientists Declare Climate Claims Ahead of UN Summit ‘Irrational’ – ‘Based On Nonsense’ – ‘Leading us down a false path’

Information From Climate Depot

Top Climate Scientist Dr. Richard Lindzen: ‘Demonization of CO2 is irrational at best and even modest warming is mostly beneficial.’ – ‘When someone says this is the warmest temperature on record. What are they talking about? It’s just nonsense. This is a very tiny change period.’

Princeton Physicist Dr. Will Happer: ’Policies to slow CO2 emissions are really based on nonsense. We are being led down a false path. To call carbon dioxide a pollutant is really Orwellian. You are calling something a pollutant that we all produce. Where does that lead us eventually?’

Greenpeace Co-Founder Dr. Patrick Moore: ‘We are dealing with pure political propaganda that has nothing to do with science.’

Green Votes Control Obama–How Sad For America

In 2012 when “The World Energy Dilemma” was published I listed The XL pipeline as one of the major dilemmas we in America were facing.  Here we are three years later and Secretary Kerry and President Obama vote to cancel the 7$ Billion project that would  have allowed 800,000 Barrels per day of oil from Canada.

How dumb can we be, Mr. President ?

While the need for this oil has lessened over the last 5 years you delayed this project, with the sharp declines we are now facing, due to low prices, we will look back in the near future and say why did President Obama kill the XL pipeline, considering the jobs it would have contributed along with increasing energy Security for America.

By the way Hillary Clinton had the job of giving approval while she was Secretary and never did and now states she would not approve the XL pipeline if elected President.  How dumb.

Long Time EPA Employee Rips Obama’s Plans to Cut CO2 from U S Power Plants

Below is a link to a summary from Dr. Alan Carlin’s book entitled “Environmentalism Gone Mad- How a Sierra Club Activist and  Senior EPA Analyst Discovered a Radical Green Fantasy ‘   with is his thoughts on what he thinks about the current debate on Global Warming caused by increasing concentrations of CO2.

*Dr Carlin’s age 78 with a PHd  in Economics from The Massachusetts  Institute of Technology and a BS in Physics from The California Institute of Technology. Carlin worked as an economist at the Rand Corporation from 1963 to 1971.[2] From 1971 to 1974, Carlin was Director of the Implementation Research Division of the US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). He was a Senior Operations Research Analyst at the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA),[3] from 1974 to 2010.

During this period Carlin “carried out or supervised over a hundred policy-related studies on climate change, pollutant assessment, energy economics and development, environmental economics, transportation economics, benefit-cost analysis, and economic development.”[4] He lists 39 publications he personally prepared.[5] In 2010, Carlin retired from his work as a Senior Operations Research Analyst at the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA).[3]

In California he served as a Chairman of the Los Angles Chapter of the Environmental group known as the Sierra Club.

Carlin is best known for a controversy that arose in June 2009, over the alleged suppression of a report Carlin and a coworker wrote opposing  the EPA’s proposed Endangerment Finding  for  Green House gases.*Wikipedia the free encyclopedia

Shown below is a link to Dr. Carlin’s summary of the book.  This summary presents many of my arguments presented in my two April 2015 Petitions to remove the seven paragraphs ( Three  from the Methodist Book of Discipline  and Four from the Book of Resolutions,) at the 2016 General Convention of the Methodist Church. They can be found under the April 2015 News event.

The subject of these seven paragraphs are political, not religious and are not based on recent scientific facts.

Dr. Patrick Moore Talk to Institute of Mechanical Engineer London England–Should We Celebrate CO2

Ex  Green Peace Leader. Dr. David Moore debunks CO2 Carbon Dioxide as a pollutant damaging our atmosphere.  Instead he says we should be celebrating the increase in CO2 as it is helping to green the Earth.  His talk supports the work of Mr.H. Leighton Steward, outstanding alumnus of SMU and author of “Fire, Ice and Paradise”

“Located below is a link to a paper presented recently to the Institute of Mechanical Engineers, London on 14 October 2015 by Dr. Patrick Moore, Ph.D. Ecology.
He describes himself as a former” radical environmental activist”. He spent 15 years in a leadership role in the top committee of Greenpeace, the world’s
largest environmental activist organization. In the mid ’80s he found that he was the only director of Greenpeace with a formal education in Science.
Fellow directors were drifting into promotions that were not based on science, but on sensationalism, misinformation and fear mongering. He left Greenpeace.
His interesting paper contradicts the unproven, hypothetical ideas of the “warmest” who are darlings of the press, Obama, and the current Pope.”
The paper is lengthy, but worth the read.

Long Term Democrat Says Obama took the Wrong Side on Cliimate Change

Theoretical physicist and Democrat voter Freeman Dyson has expressed his disappointment with President Obama’s stance on climate change.

” Its very sad in this country, political opinion,”he said in an interview with The Register,  I am 100% Democratic myself, and I like Obama, but he took the wrong side on this issue and the Republicans took the right side.”

Now retired , Dyson was a professor of physics at the Institute  for Advanced Study in Princeton between 1953 and 1994.  Famed for his work in quantum electrodynamics and nuclear energy.  Dyson also worked on climate studies during his career.

European Rewnewables Investment Heads to Zero !!!!!

“In its submission in advance of the December climate conference  in Paris the EU committed to reduce its overall emissions by over 40% below the 1990 levels  by 2030.

Achieving this target, which the EU says is binding, will obviously require a large investment in renewables.  Yet according to Bloomberg News Energy Finance investment in “clean energy” in Europe has been declining since 2011 to near zero now.”

See attached link from Energy Matters 10/12/ 2015

It appears that “Clean Energy or Less CO2 has a long way to particularly in todays low oil price environment.

Are the Saudi”s beginning to Feel the Pain of Low Oil Prices Yet ???

The article in the Seattle Times written by Aya Batrawy points out the  many Dilemma’s facing Saudia Arabia in their drive to maintain market share by continuing to produce at or above their long term goal of ten million barrels a day, which they have had as a maximum target since the late 1970′s when I was there as Aramco’s Chief Petroleum Engineer. The Saudi’s are walking a tight rope the longer oil prices remain depressed in my opinion.

Climate strategy’s anti-fossil fuel efforts seen devastating world’s poor

Academics, scientists, and a member of the ministry dispute the Obama administration’s claim that the world should cut fossil fuel use in the fight against combat change. They write that efforts to reduce carbon dioxide emissions are based on faulty global warming models and that cutting CO2 will devastate the world’s poor by denying them reliable, affordable power.
